Star Quests = 98% (96% accurate translated)
NPCs = 50% (40% accurate translated)

Note: You will get still some Underscores.

Warning: If you are running MHP2nd 1.4 Patched on your PSP and you put your PSP on sleep mode, and then cut it back on, all the text on the game will be screwed up. So to make everything go back to normal, reset your GAME and you will be fine. This is a BUG and I have no power to FIX it because the application used is not mines.

The PFF patcher is for those who just found out my Patch existed or the ones who have trouble installing my patch manually. Don't Forget to check out the Screen shots...

Manual Install Guide

Step 00: Download the Patch on This Blog.

Step 01: Extract This File


Step 02: This is what should be in the Extracted Folder


Step 03: Execute "UMDGen" exe


Step 04: A window should pop up, Click "Open"


Step 05: Choose Your Orginal Monster Hunter Portable 2nd Image [ISO ONLY >> 797MB should be around there]


Step 06: Highlight both "PSP_GAME" folder and "UMD_DATA.BIN" bin, Right Click, and Choose "Extract Selected..."


Step 07: Choose the "Original" Folder [MPH2nd JPN2ENG patch v.1.1/MonsterHunterPortable2nd -- Original and Patch/Original]

And Click "Ok"

Step 08: It Should now be EXTRACTING like this:


Step 09: Extraction COMPLETED!... Now go on to the next Step.

After Extraction Completion, Exit/Close UMDGen.exe

Step 10: Open up "MHP2HTv0.96" exe


Step 11: This Should Pop Up:


Step 12: Click the FIRST button.


Step 13: Choose "USRDIR" folder [MPH2nd JPN2ENG patch v.1.1/MonsterHunterPortable2nd -- Original and Patch/Original/USRDIR]

And Click "Ok"

Step 14: Click the SECOND Button.


Step 15: Choose "Translation Files" folder [MPH2nd JPN2ENG patch v.1.1/Translation Files]

And Click "Ok"

Step 16: Now Click that Button Circled in BLUE


Step 17: Click the 2nd Option (blue) >> First Option (red) >> The First Option (green).


Step 18: This Should Pop Up.

Click "Yes"

PLEASE WAIT.... TXT Files Are Now Being Created in the "Translation Files" Folder

Step 19: This Should Pop Up after the ""Wait"" on Step 18.

Click "Ok"

Step 20: Now Click that BLUE Circled Icon (Folder and Arrow)


Step 21: Now Click this Box... There should be 18 rows.

Click "1" and.... go on to the NEXT STEP

Step 22: Click This Icon [Clipboard w/paper]:


Step 23: This should pop up.

Click "Ok"

Step 24: Then This will Pop Up.

Click "Ok"

REPEAT STEPs 21, 22, 23, & 24 but for Step 21 choose a different number instead of 1. Now choose 2, 3, 4, etc...
This is the ORDER you should click each one: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 ........ 17, 18. (ALL).
You can input it in any Order... If you mess up, it's okay.. just double check....

Step 25: After You Are Done Exit/Close MHP2HTv0.96.exe

This should pop up, Click "Yes"

Step 26: Execute "UMDGen" exe once again...


Step 27: Open the "Original" folder inside [MPH2nd JPN2ENG patch v.1.1/MonsterHunterPortable2nd -- Original and Patch/] and drag both "PSP_GAME" folder and "UMD_DATA.BIN" bin into the UMDGen.exe shown on the picture below:


Step 28: Now Go To and click "Save" and Choose a Uncompressed iso or Compressed cso.


Step 29: Please Wait While File Are Being Created into an IMAGE . . . . . . . .

Step 30: Drag your ISO/CSO into your ISO folder inside your MS and ENJOY the World Of MHP2nd Englishese !! lol

WARNING!!: There will be Underscores on some texts!! and When you put ure PSP to sleep mode w/ this patch, the game text will scramble up and then you will have to save or reset ure system lol... If it does that, then just save or reset and load up MHP2nd again and everything will be fine once again.... sorry idk whats the problem and don't know how i can fix it... :(
